The name FOB(Free on Board) is a term in international commercial law and a common clause in contracts when commissioning ships. It also plays on the unique location of the Norwegian Maritime Museum – right by the sea and with a fantastic view of the Oslofjord.
Our products reflects maritime history through a selection of Norwegian design, innovation and entrepreneurship, which has created the basis of Norwegian shipping and is a prerequisite for the survival of the maritime industry today.
There is an increased interest for Norwegian design and quality products abroad, and we want to ensure that these types of products are available to all our customers.
We also have the pleasure of presenting the jewellery-collection Seabling. Created by husband and wife team, Synne Skjulstad and Vemund Barstad Bermingrud, the designs incorporate pieces of oceanic plastic debris collected along the Oslofjord and set in gold or silver to create these unique pieces of jewellery.
–"We want to contribute to set focus on the problems we are faceing with the plastic pollution, but also show that plastic waste can be transformed into something beautiful and interesting," says Synne Skjulstad.
