The Viking Age boat Builder
Join us, when we invite the whole family into the KLINK boat building work shop and meet the boat builder! Here you can experience Viking Age boat building, when we build a reconstruction of one of the largest of the small boats from the Gokstad find. You can see the original Viking boat here and is approx. 1100 years old.The entire process will be open to the public, from planning, model building to the finished boat and sailing.
Try it yourself! Nailing and planing for the whole family
Wooden nails, wedges and boat boards must be split. Together with the boat builder, you can try nailing nails or join the competition to see who can plan the longest planer shavings! Some of the planers are designed to be used by two people, so you have to work together.
