Children's Boat Workshop

Build a brickboat! On Sundays, the Children’s Boat Workshop is open from 12:00 to 15:00. Shipbuilders of all ages come together to make wooden brick boats, just like in grandma’s day!

The Children's Boat Workshop is open on Sundays between 12: 00 am and 3: 00pm. Here, shipbuilders of all ages meet to make brickboats, just the way you did at grandmother's time!

The Children's Boat Workshop, is run by some of the Norwegian Maritime Museum's most active "Friends of the Museum" members. As old veterans of the sea, they can tell you all about the life of a sailor, different shipowner brands, as well as help you with the construction of the brickboats. Brickboat kits can be purchased at the museum reception upon arrival. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Price: Regular admission, with an added 70,- NOK per boat kit.

The Children's Boat Workshop may also be open by appointment.
